The Renaissance Box Office is open for phone and walk-up sales from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday - Friday, and two hours before each performance unless on summer hours in June & July (Wednesday - Friday, Noon - 5pm). Every person attending a performance must have a ticket, including babies and young children.
The Box Office is located in the Renaissance lobby, at 138 Park Avenue West in Downtown Mansfield.
You may purchase tickets for any Renaissance event by phone, in person at our box office, or on this website by clicking any of the "buy tickets" links.
The Renaissance Theatre does everything possible to provide you with information about the content of our shows. To help facilitate this, we use the same rating system as the motion picture industry. Please be aware that what constitutes mild language, sexual situations or drug use varies between individuals. To some, drinking a beer or smoking a cigarette may be considered drug use - just as kissing may be considered a sexual situation and the use of the word "God" or "Lord" (used in an non-reverential manner), may be considered objectionable language. If you are offended by any of this, we would suggest you limit your ticket buying solely to G-rated events.
A brief explanation of the rating system:
The common perception is that a G rating refers only to children's programming. It does not. This rating simply means that the production contains nothing in the ratings board's opinion that parents would find offensive for children. G-rated shows may contain mild language (words like stupid, idiot, heck, darn), but no nudity, sex or drug use.
The PG rating is meant as a warning to parents to do a little background check before buying tickets for their children. PG productions may contain elements that parents may find unsuitable for children, including limited profanity, mild violence, sexual situations or suggested sexuality, depiction of alternate lifestyles, depiction of drinking or drug use.
The PG-13 rating was created to better differentiate productions that fell in the grey area between PG and R ratings. While the subject matter of a production alone will not garner a rating stronger than PG-13, the depiction of that subject matter may. Sexual situations, scantily-clad performers, the simulation of drug use and/or drinking and violence are permissible within the PG-13 rating as are uses of sexual expletives (such as the F-word) so long as they are not used in a sexual context.
An R rating means that the production contains material that is classified as "explicitly adult." These productions may contain adult themes and activities, strong language (used in a sexual content), sexually-oriented nudity, drug use and extended violence.
If you are unable to attend a performance, we welcome ticket exchanges up to 48 hours before the scheduled performance for a credit on your Renaissance account towards any future show. Also, subscribers may exchange and/or upgrade tickets as long as seats are available. Subscribers never pay a service charge for ticket exchanges. For non-subscribers, there is a $3.00 per ticket service charge for ticket exchanges or replacing lost tickets. For all ticket buyers, your ticket purchase may always be turned into a tax-deductible donation to the theatre if you are unable to attend. Contact the box office for more information. We are unfortunately unable to offer refunds on any ticket purchases.
May Renaissance events are perfect for children. We encourage parents to check out our Family Series of shows for some great ideas. Symphony Classics performances, some Broadway performances, and many of the Concert Connection shows are not appropriate for children. Please read about our show ratings above. Some performances may contain mature themes and children under the age of fourteen will not be admitted. DUE TO FIRE AND SAFETY REGULATIONS, EVERY PERSON, REGARDLESS OF AGE, MUST HAVE A TICKET TO ATTEND A RENAISSANCE EVENT. (Sorry moms and dads, but you can't hold your wee one on your lap if he or she doesn't have a ticket.)
Tickets ordered two weeks prior to an event will be mailed to you at your billing address. Tickets purchased less than ten days prior to an event will be held for will-call at the theatre. If you wish us to hold your tickets in will-call and not mail them, please let us know when ordering. Should your tickets not arrive two or three days prior to the event, give us a call and we'll be happy to reprint them for you!
The main floor of the Renaissance is wheelchair and handicapped accessible with wheelchair and companion seating available. Please request these seats when ordering. Assisted listening devices are available to all patrons at the box office the night of the performance. Advance notice is recommended. Interpreting services can be made available with a request at least two weeks prior to the event. Contact us with any questions for your special needs and we'll make sure your experience is comfortable and rewarding!
Two hours prior to eligible Renaissance presented or produced event (rental events do not apply) you can walk up to the box office and purchase tickets for just $15 each! The $15 seats are located in the back of the balcony and are limited to 50 seats per event. Click here for more information.
Renaissance Gift Certificates may be purchased through the box office in any denomination and may be personalized for each individual gift. These gift certificates may be used on any Renaissance produced event. Note: They cannot be used on any event that rents the theatre to bring in their own event. The box office can advise you on which shows are eligible for gift certificates.
