I remember the Ohio Theatre and attended many movies on the giant screen as a child. As a lifelong resident of Mansfield, I walked to many shows with school mates and family members. I remember the start and completion of the renovation from the Ohio to the Renaissance and the anticipation and excitement of the community. I attended the gala opening as part of the crowd on the street and also the opening of the Holiday Inn with the walkover to the theatre as a representative of Richland Bank.

I have attended many REN performances over the years with many friends and relatives from symphonies to Broadway shows and live entertainment. Tickets represented Christmas gifts and specail birthday celebrations.

Community value has extended to the young student learning all the avenues of life to the seasoned attendee appreciating the performances of many great artists. The Renaissance gives entertainment opportunties to our community which extends to many local counties. It is an entertainment giant that allows us to enjoy local and national talents right here in North Central Ohio.

I now have an opportunity to participate in the continued success of the Renaissance for the local community. We have lots to offer from past successes, present plans and future opportunities. It is an exciting time and we have only touched the surface of the art and entertainment world.
