John Talbott began his non-profit career with St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee as Central Regional Director where he created the inaugural St. Jude Telethon in Lima, Ohio during the 70's and eventually kicked off the first National Telethon live from the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City. He has also served as Vice President of Development for the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and has held positions with the Ferst Center for the Arts at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Southern Arts Federation, Arts Management Associates and the Daytona Beach International Festival.
John was born and raised in Ohio and is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing and also attended Ohio University and West Virginia University while working on his MBA. Eager to return to the Buckeye state, Talbott stated, "The first time I walked in the building I fell in love with this theatre. I was really hoping they would offer me the job, and when they did I felt as if I had come home." He is currently a part of the American Marketing Association, the Association of Fund Raising Professionals and The Ohio State University Alumni Association and looks forward to joining the OSU Alumni Club of Richland County. He moves to Mansfield with his wife, Marilyn.
