Terri Bergman - President and CEOTerri has played many parts, including author, Executive Director, Campaign Manager, President, CEO, activist, advocate, and mom. Among her many distinctions and recognitions are the 2003 National Leadership Award with the Business Advisory Council, appointment to the National Congressional Committee, 2004 Business Person of the Year for Erie County, 2004 Producer of the "Boston Pops Symphony" outdoor performance in Erie County, 2005 Youth Service Award from the Erie County Chamber of Commerce with special acknowledgment by the State of Ohio, and the 2005 Arts Innovator Award with the Ohio Arts Council. Working in partnership with Renaissance Executive Director Matt Joslyn to create and implement a successful business model for the Renaissance, Terri provides expertise in assessing community needs and building avenues to facilitate optimum relationships and community partnerships. She brings a leadership role in development and has been responsible for over ten million dollars of funding delivered to the not-for-profit sector.

Terri's arts training and venue experience includes roles as a Board Member, Board Facilitator, Consultant, and Executive Director for varying arts organizations and non-profit missions, including the Sandusky State Theatre, the Toledo Museum of Art, Ann Arbor/Livingston County "Picture Lady" Program in association with the Detroit Institute of Art, and the Museum of Art in Monterey, Mexico. Terri studied at the University of Maine in Marketing and Journalism, and has participated in a host of seminars and colloquiums in public speaking, real estate, public relations, not-for-profit management, and hospitality management. A life-long Arts advocate, Terri continues to realize a life goal of blurring the line between one's work and one's passion. Forever the businesswoman, Terri brings to the Renaissance the concept that "not-for-profit" is a tax status, not a business plan. Her current efforts on behalf of the Renaissance including managing and overseeing the capital campaign, and seeking out new fund raising sources on the State and National level.
