Youth Orchestra

The Mansfield Symphony Youth Orchestra was first organized in 1982 with the primary purpose of establishing an outlet for outstanding instrumental music students.

The MSYO is comprised of nearly 100 student musicians, primarily in grades 9 through 12, representing Richland, Ashland, Wayne, Marion, Knox, Crawford and Holmes counties.

In addition to two formal concerts each year, the group also performs four free "Lollipop" concerts in area schools. Auditions for the Youth Orchestra are held in June of each year.
